Transforming nature’s potential into sustainable innovation.

LandraTech was born with the mission of adding value to native oak, cork oak, and holm oak forests by transforming the acorn, a natural, abundant, and nutritious resource, into a source of income, innovation, and sustainability.
It all began in 2018 with the Armazém da Bolota project, created to revive the forgotten value of this ancient fruit. With support from Portugal Ventures and European programs such as EIT Food and MassChallenge, LandraTech has grown into a food biotechnology company that combines science, technology, and tradition to create products and processes that benefit both people and the planet.
To reintroduce the acorn into the human diet and industry through sustainable technological solutions, promoting food sovereignty, circular bioeconomy, and the revitalization of rural territories.
We develop proprietary technology that transforms acorns into edible raw materials, such as flour and infusions, and into high-value by-products for the food, cosmetic, textile, and energy sectors. We work closely with forest producers, research institutions, and industry partners to build sustainable, local value chains that support rural economies and promote responsible forest management.
Following the Forest2Fork concept, LandraTech integrates every link in the acorn value chain. Our circular bio economy model ensures that nothing goes to waste: pulp becomes food, and by-products such as tannins and biomass become bioactive compounds or energy sources. Through this model, we generate economic and environmental value, helping preserve native forests and strengthen local communities.
To become a global reference in acorn valorization and in the transition toward a more sustainable and conscious food system, where innovation and tradition grow together.
Because we believe the future of food begins in our forests and that every acorn can feed a healthier planet.
