This weekend Landratech was present at the PontUpStore in Pontevedra (Spain) to present and get live feedback on our Armazem da Bolota products.

We have returned very grateful because the reception in the Spanish market has been spectacular and above all we have seen that the consumer is very aware of this type of vegan, sustainable and ecological products.

Native Forest Day. Quercus and LandraTech present 5 measures to valorise the acorn sector

Autochthonous Forest Day is celebrated today, 23 November. To mark the date, Quercus - the National Association for Nature Conservation - and LandraTech - a company that values the use of acorns throughout the Iberian Peninsula and has a processing centre in Barcelos - are highlighting the importance of acorns for human consumption, for the conservation and regeneration of plants of the genus Quercus (which includes holm oaks, cork oaks and various species of oak) and native forests, which are dominated by this genus.

OakFood, the project that aims to (re)valorise Portuguese acorns

Portugal is an exceptional producer of acorns, mainly due to its extensive Montado that runs across the country from north to south. It is estimated that trees of the Quercus genus represent around 36 per cent of the entire national forest, followed by the Eucalyptus genus, which occupies 26 per cent.
